Making Progress

A fun place to be this time of year. My little sewing room.  Warm since the boiler is in the next room, well lit with my Ottlite.  All supplies and nostalgic treasures around me, a little music.  Ahh Michigan winter days are gray and gloomy.  Pretty caught up on my fav shows.  Although Mrs. Maisel season 3 is up next.  Sewing, crafting and cooking/baking on the agenda.  I’m obsessed with Mary Berry.  Challenging baking is so worth it.  That Lemon drizzle cake is to die for. Currently embroidering those fab Twelve Days of Christmas felt ornaments while the Mr. is watching his fav political news.  Yawn. I’m finishing up day 5.  Sooo cute. Fresh home from Chicago, spending: time with lovely ladies and just spending in general.  ðŸ˜¬ Heading to S Haven today for a lookie Lou at a property recently acquired.  Figuring out how to proceed.  Gotta day, “hello house” to our little cottage awaiting our return.  The m...

Gettin it done

deadlines........ there is nothing more fun and pressure filled than the "gettin it done" for Christmas time of year. every year I promise myself I will start earlier and avoid the pre christmas pressure cooker.  I never do.  what fun is that? my sewing/craft room is piled high with idea materials and a few projects underway.  love it.  i am lucky to have this little crevice to make myself happy and make stuff.  always a good feeling to make things.  it makes me feel good.  love to noodle on an idea and figure out how to make it.  i gravitate to fiber crafts mostly.  my gene make up drives me to sew and embroider.  lots of exposure to these pursuits growing up with a sewing teacher in the house. i recommend the nyt cooking subscription my sister gifted me last year. its the bomb.  no more blank "what to make for dinner" days.  making stuff includes food of course.  some are more popular with the mr. than others. he'...
